Here are some links to online tools and a few thoughts about how they might be and already are being put to good use at my school. If you would like more information about any of this stuff, send me an email and I'll do my best to help.

Web based Drawing Tools

I currently use these sites with my Year 10 BTEC Media class in an attempt to encourage them to think about drawing in a new way. Some of them are better than others, so we use them and review them based on their individual strengths and weaknesses:

Odopod This records your drawing so you can play it back step by step. It also looks like you've done it on a proper drawing pad.

Pictaps Draw a digital person and make him/her dance. A brilliant Japanese site and wonderfully addictive!

Art Pad This allows you to record and play back your creations.

Viscosity Create your own abstract composition with this brilliant application. My current favourite!

Qbesq Create beautiful arabesques at the click of your mouse.

Scribbler Draw a simple line diagram, click a button and watch the drawing recreate itself according to a set of rules you create. Addictive!
